Meet Tonya! Tonya works on our Work & Community Services team as the Lead Program Manager, Work Service Coordination and has been with Goodwill Columbus for 26 years!
Tonya came to Goodwill because she was excited about the opportunity to grow and expand her knowledge working with the individuals Work & Community Services empowers. Furthering her education proved to be so important that Tonya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work since being promoted!
In her role as Lead Program Manager, Tonya supervises the Coordination Department and notes that her favorite part of her position is witnessing the dramatic changes, opportunities, and growth among the individuals we serve. In the coming months and years, Tonya is looking forward to the continued development between her and her team and gaining new experiences with the participants they work with daily.
“Goodwill has changed my life in many ways, and I hope to give back the gift that was given to me by supporting our participants. I was never interested in college; however, with the support and encouragement of management, I achieved a level of growth and potential that I never saw in myself,” said Tonya.
