The new retail location will be 13,000 sqft, making it Goodwill Columbus’s largest retail location to date

(Columbus, Ohio) — Goodwill Columbus will open its first Westerville store this Spring. The retail-only location will take over the former Big Lots building at 60 E Schrock Rd, totaling over 13,000 sqft, making it Goodwill Columbus’s largest store. A date for the public grand opening celebration with prizes, giveaways, music, and more will be announced in the coming weeks.

“We have been eyeing Westerville for quite some time now, and we can’t wait to expand our footprint to this community,” said Ryan D. Burgess, CEO of Goodwill Columbus. “We have an incredible team of people ready to serve the Westerville community, and we are ready to fill the space with the convenience and value Goodwill Columbus brings to every location.”

The new retail store will be the fourth opening in a recent wave of expansion since 2023, joining the Brice Rd., Clintonville, and Grove City locations. Goodwill Columbus, whose mission is to help people build lives of possibility and purpose, announced late last year that it had served more than 100,000 individuals since 2020. The organization had originally set a goal to reach this number by 2030, achieving it five years ahead of schedule.

Goodwill Columbus is proud to remain one of the region’s largest nonprofit employers and a trusted source for helping Central Ohioans move forward in their lives through a variety of programs and services, including free job training and career coaching for any adult looking to find employment, as well as adult day and residential services for individuals with disabilities.

Goodwill Columbus’s new Westerville location on Schrock Road is separate from the Marion Goodwill Industries’ location on Northgate Way.
