Cody (she/hers) has been involved with Goodwill Columbus for many years in many capacities, but she is currently learning front desk skills at our Work & Community Services (WCS) facility.
“When I first came to WCS, I was scared and nervous. I didn’t think I would like it, but when I met the people who work here, I got used to them. They became one big family to me,” Cody said.
In her front desk role, Cody answers the phone, assists guests, restocks office supplies, decorates the lobby, serves as a Goodwill ambassador, and much more. Outside of Goodwill, Cody is involved in Secure Haven Care, Special Olympics, and The Big Table, where she serves as an emcee for various table topics. She is also on the Human Rights Committee through her residential provider, Alvis, Inc.
“There is so much I do with this job that I never thought I would do in my life, and I am grateful and honored,” Cody said. “My mom raised me to be the best I can be, and that’s what I am doing here at WCS.”
